VOICES OF TENACITY

Fatumata Kaba
ASEP Alumni
Class of 2007

During my three years at Tenacity, my family, friends, and teachers have seen a huge change in me.  My love for reading has expanded and I love tennis with a passion.  Tenacity has definitely made a huge impact in my life and I'm glad that I decided to join.  It's a place where you don't have to be afraid to love reading or just being yourself...

ADVANTAGE: Boston - Volunteer Member
(2009 AmeriCorps Service Project)

DATE: Saturday, May 16th, 2009 (Rain Date: Saturday, May 30)
PLACE: We are working at the following sites:

Savin Hill - Dorchester
Mayor Iacono Playground - Hyde Park
English Park - Jamaica Plains
Rodgers Park - Brighton

Please help us make our communities brighter and cleaner and receive some free food and social fun in the process!

Tenacity needs all available hands to help clean up several summer tennis sites around Boston. Tasks involved in this volunteer project include (but are not limited to) painting over graffiti, planting flowers/shrubs, pick-up of garbage, trimming and disposal of tree/shrub overgrowth, etc..

Pending city approval, we may also be painting some awesome murals and installing "peace poles" for the community!

Please RSVP for our event and please specify which of the four sites it is most convenient for you to work at. Please email DanSwann@tenacity.org with any questions or confirmations.
