VOICES OF TENACITY
Jennifer LesnickTenacity Volunteer & Donor (2002 - Current)
In 2002, Stephen Kay, a founding board member of Tenacity, called me and said, ”Jennifer, I have the perfect organization for you to get involved with- Tenacity!"
Steve knew I was an event planner and an avid tennis player and fan. He introduced me to Ned Eames and immediately I was hooked! The more time I spent with Ned, the more his passion and enthusiasm touched me. I had to get involved!
That year, I joined the event planning team for Tenacity’s annual gala.
The following year, I had the privilege of chairing this wonderful gala at the ReggieLewisCenter. In 2004, I co-chaired the event once again. Of all the work I have done in my adult life, I am most proud of those two evenings. What a great way for me to combine my event planning skills and love for tennis and children! I met wonderful people; I made new friends in the tennis world; and I caught up with old friends from my days of playing junior tennis here in New England.
In addition to my work planning events, I also volunteer my time with kids on the courts teaching tennis. Last summer I volunteered at the RoxburyLatinSchool site and brought my daughter with me to play tennis and meet new friends!
I am addicted to Tenacity! Every time I interact with a child, whether it is on court, at one of Tenacity’s events or listening to an ASEP student speak, I can’t get enough. I will always make time for Tenacity.
