Ten years and...
Dozens of kids evolving into life-long readers each year,
Hundreds of student success stories,
Thousands of ever-improving ground strokes, serves and volleys,
Endless thanks for Boston’s financial support and encouragement.
On October 15, over 700 guests joined Tenacity’s staff and kids to celebrate ten years of successful after school and summer programs which are provided to Boston’s at-risk youth.
The event was held at Longwood Cricket Club in Chestnut Hill where Tenacity supporters gathered to enjoy a festive evening on the beautiful grounds of the fabled club. The evening’s cold winds and rain were greeted with warmth and energy around Tenacity’s ten years of keeping Boston kids in school.
Chaired by Bill and Alli Achtmeyer, there were a host of celebrities and VIPs in attendance including Bud Collins, Emily Rooney, Jorge Quiroga, Chris Collins, Mike Dowling, Karen Ward Holmes, former ATP pro Katrina Adams, and Gordon Smith, Executive Director and COO of the USTA.
The following day a Tenacity at Ten tennis event was held at Harvard’s Murr Center for the gala Sponsors. Several of our generous supporters, both individual and corporate, gathered to play with former pros Katrina Adams, Tim Mayotte and our own Bud Schultz. Longwood’s Director of Tennis, Larry Wolfe, coordinated the round robin which provided a chance for several Tenacity kids to play tennis with the pros and sponsors.
Thank you to all who have contributed to Tenacity at Ten either by attending, volunteering or supporting us. We hope to see you at our upcoming events planned for spring 2010.

"TENACITY AT TEN" GALA CELEBRATED IN STYLE!
