College Prep and ALUMNI Programs

The Tenacity experience does not end with ASEP graduation.
All participants who complete ASEP are offered continued support and opportunities through the Alumni Services Program. We strongly encourage graduates to remain connected to Tenacity by supporting them in a variety of ways throughout the transition into the 9th grade, high school, college, and beyond.
Students are first introduced to Alumni Services as part of their 8th grade year in ASEP, when Alumni Program staff members profide individualized assistance with the high school selection and transition processes.

Later, as they graduate from ASEP and move into high school, alumni have access to:
¨ Ongoing academic support and educational enrichment resources including tutoring, homework help, study skills workshops, and writing assistance
¨ Opportunities to earn college scholarship money
¨ SAT prep
¨ Assistance with the college process including the application, selection and financial aid processes
¨ Job, internship, volunteer and leadership opportunities
¨ Ongoing tennis opportunities
¨ Opportunities to serve as leaders and mentors for current ASEP students and in their communities
¨ Exposure to a new social and cultural experiences
¨ Fun, social and recreational alumni events & a positive peer network
As Tenacity continues its journey and expands to serve more Boston youth each year, it is clear that all of Tenacity's programs are making a difference in the lives of thousands of Boston youth, their families, and the communities in which they live. Over 95% of students who have completed our after-school program have defied the odds represented by Boston's high school dropout rate and have stayed in school. More than 80% have moved on to college.
With the help of our Alumni Services Program and the continuing support it offers to graduates of our middle school program, we are confident that our students will continue along their journey to success, and that our extended Tenacity family will continue to grow and gain strength for many years to come.
